STRAWBERRY SWING INDIE CRAFT FAIR’S
HOLIDAY MARKET AT UNION STATION COVID-19 PLAN
The Strawbery Swing Indie Craft Fair’s Holiday Market at Union Station will take place in fresh air, outdoors on Saturdays and Sundays beginning 11/282020 and ending 1219/2020 at Union Station’s Haverty Yards in Kansas City, Missouri from 10 am to 6 pm.
Our Covid-19 plans are as follows:
REDUCED CAPACITY/SOCIAL DISTANCING POLICY
The capacity in Haverty Yards (completely outdoors) is 2,500 people. We are restricting capacity so that there are no more than 200 people (including vendors, staff and guests) at one time inside the gates. We have one, gated entrance and once inside, there is only one route with directional, one-way signage. Vendors tents are spaced 6-10 feet apart. The outdoor event is ticketed and guests are purchasing timed-entry ticketing and we will have onsite capacity management including outdoor lines with ground markers to respect social distancing to avoid crowds at points of entry. Visible signage will be installed in easy to read locations and our staff will be effectively trained in appropriate communication strategies that encourage and respectfully prompt visitors to adhere to social distancing policies. We have a one-hour, ticketed pre-shopping experience from 9-10 am each day that is reserved for certain clientele (high-risk, seniors, anxiety prone, etc.).
All staff and volunteers will receive COVID-19 mitigation training focusing on best practices in social distancing, proper handling of PPE, sanitation and hygiene, transacting with the public, and communications.
CONTACT TRACING PROTOCOLS
Because the event has a timed, ticketed entry, we will have a record of all guests, vendors and staff for proper contact tracing.
We will have hand sanitizing stations placed throughout the event in convenient locations and signage to encourage guests to use the stations.
COVID-19 DRESS CODE
Face masks will be required to be worn by all vendors, staff and guests at all times, unless eating and drinking.
We will have a QR (Quick Response) Code all guests will scan when they present their tickets for scanning which will take them to a health screening they must complete and sign. We will consult the CDC for best practice in health screenings and related data collection and will establish a protocol to follow in the event that COVID-19 symptoms are observed.
We will encourage our vendors to accept contactless payment.
Food trucks will follow guidelines from the Eleventh Amended Order 20-01 in KCMO which requires six feet of social distance and masks to be worn. Guests shall not take food through the gates of Haverty Yards, as masks are required at all times inside Haverty Yards where vendors are set-up. All parties (no more than 10 persons per party) shall remain 6 feet apart from each other while outside and inside the gates of Haverty Yards.
